Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of absoluteadvanced.com and the information and tools on it. By using the site you agree to them. If you engage us for work, the signed proposal or contract governs that work, and where it conflicts with these terms, the contract controls.
Who we are
Absolute Advanced Electric, Inc. is a licensed electrical contracting firm in New York City (NYC Master Electrician license #12383). This site describes our services; it is not itself a service.
The site is information, not advice
Everything on this site, including descriptions of laws such as Local Law 88 (LL88) and Local Law 97 (LL97), of codes and standards, and of penalties and deadlines, is general information as we understand it on the date it was written. Laws, deadlines and agency practice change. Nothing here is legal, engineering or code-compliance advice for a particular building, and nothing here replaces the judgment of a licensed professional who has examined your conditions. Where a task requires a professional engineer or registered architect, we say so and we work with one; we do not provide engineering services.
The free building check
The building check is a courtesy. When you enter an address, we look up public records as they appear at the time we look, including records held by the Department of Buildings, the Environmental Control Board (now the OATH Hearings Division) and DOB's Local Law 88 covered buildings list, and we tell you what we found. You understand and agree that:
- public records may be incomplete, delayed, misattributed or wrong, and we do not verify them against the building;
- the check is not an inspection, a condition assessment, a certification, a filing or a quote, and it does not confirm that a building is or is not compliant;
- the check does not create a contractor-client relationship, and we owe you no duty beyond providing the information in good faith;
- we may decline or limit checks, for example for addresses outside New York City or for high-volume requests;
- you will not rely on the check as the sole basis for a decision about a purchase, a sale, an insurance application, a filing or a hearing.
Quotes, estimates and proposals
Nothing on this site is an offer or a price. Any figure on this site that describes a penalty, fee or rate set by a government agency is quoted from that agency as of the date shown and may have changed. Our pricing is given only in a written proposal, and work is governed only by a signed agreement.
Emergencies
This site and our web forms are not monitored around the clock. If you smell burning, see sparking or smoke, have exposed wiring, or have lost power to life-safety systems, call 911 or Con Edison first, then call us.
Your submissions
When you submit information through this site, you confirm it is accurate and that you are entitled to submit it. You agree not to use the site or the building check to harass anyone, to submit false information, or to interfere with the site's operation, and not to use automated tools to submit forms. Ideas or suggestions you send us may be used without obligation to you; personal information is handled under our Privacy Policy.
Testimonials and reviews
If you give us a testimonial or review, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use it, in whole or in part, in our marketing, with the attribution described in our Privacy Policy. You confirm it reflects your own experience.
Our content
The text, photographs, graphics, logos and design of this site belong to Absolute Advanced Electric, Inc. or are used with permission. "The Absolute Assurance Program" and our logo are our trademarks. You may view the site and print pages for your own reference, and search engines and assistants may index and summarize it to direct people here. You may not copy, republish, scrape or reuse the content, or use our marks, for any other commercial purpose without our written permission. Photographs of our work may include our customers' property and are published with permission; you may not reuse them.
Other sites and services
This site links to sites we do not control, including government, utility and service-provider sites, and uses third-party services to deliver forms and host pages. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
No warranty
This site and the building check are provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Absolute Advanced Electric, Inc. and its officers, employees and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business opportunity, arising from your use of this site or the building check, and our total liability for any claim relating to the site or the check is limited to one hundred dollars. This limit does not apply to liability that cannot be limited under New York law, and it does not limit our obligations under a signed agreement for work.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and costs arising from your misuse of the site, your breach of these terms, or information you submitted that you were not entitled to submit.
Accessibility
We want this site to be usable by everyone, and we build it to recognized accessibility guidelines. If any part of it does not work for you, email info@AbsoluteAdvanced.com or call (718) 321-3060 and we will help you directly and fix what we can.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to this site or these terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Queens County, New York, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
Changes
We may revise these terms by posting the revised version here with a new date. Your use of the site after a change means the revised terms apply.
