Who we are

What we collect

Information you give us

When you use the free building check, request a quote, book service, sign up for updates or otherwise contact us, we collect what you provide: your name, email address, phone number, company and role, the address of a building or vessel, and what you tell us about the work. If you become a customer, we also collect what is needed to do the work and keep the file: site contact details, access instructions, account and billing information, permit and inspection records, and photographs of the electrical work.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. As of the date below, this site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising tools. We may add them, for example Google Analytics, Google Ads or similar services, to understand how the site is used and to reach people who have shown interest in our services. If we do, this section will say so, and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent first.

Information from public records and other sources

To perform a building check or scope work, we look up public records held by the New York City Department of Buildings (DOB), the Environmental Control Board (now the OATH Hearings Division) and similar public sources. We may also receive information about you from a property manager, owner, general contractor or other party who engages us for work at a property you are connected with.

Reviews on other platforms

If you leave a review on a third-party platform such as Google, that platform's policy governs it. If you give us a testimonial directly, see "Testimonials and project photographs" below.

How we use it

We use the information above to:

• respond to your request and perform the building check, quote or work you asked for;
• schedule, perform, document and invoice electrical work, and file what the law requires with DOB and other agencies;
• keep the job file, including permits, inspection sign-offs, test records and photographs, for as long as licensing, tax, insurance and warranty obligations require;
• contact you about your request, your project, and services we think are relevant to you;
• improve this site and our services, including by analyzing how the site is used once analytics are in place;
• protect our business, our people and our customers, including preventing fraud and misuse and enforcing our agreements;
• meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

Marketing choices

If you give us your email address or phone number, we may send you information about our services. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out of marketing calls or texts by telling us, by replying STOP to a text, or by emailing info@AbsoluteAdvanced.com. Opting out of marketing does not stop messages about work in progress or a request you made.

Text messages

When you text our office number, you agree to receive text replies about your request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop, or HELP for help. We do not send marketing text messages without your separate consent.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We share it only:

• with service providers who work on our behalf and may use it only to provide their service to us: the companies that host this site, deliver our web forms, provide our email and phone service, store our files and job records, process payments, run analytics or advertising tools once we use them, and help us manage customer relationships. Today that includes Netlify (hosting) and Web3Forms (form delivery); the list changes as our tools change;
• with people involved in your project when the work requires it: building owners and managers, general contractors, engineers, inspectors, utilities and government agencies such as DOB;
• with our insurers, accountants, lawyers and similar advisers;
• when the law requires it, to respond to a subpoena, court order or lawful request, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our business, our customers or others;
• in connection with a sale, merger or reorganization of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.

Testimonials and project photographs

We photograph our own work for our records and, with permission, to show what we do. If you give us a testimonial or review, or agree to let us describe or show work performed at your property, we may publish it on this site, in proposals, on social media and in marketing materials, with your name, title, company and the building or neighborhood, unless you ask us to withhold any of them. You can withdraw permission for future use at any time by emailing us; material already printed or distributed may remain. We do not publish photographs that show the interior of a private residence, a tenant, a meter or account number, or a person's face without permission.

How we protect it

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, as New York's SHIELD Act requires, including access limits, encrypted connections to this site and agreements with our vendors. No method is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your private information, we will notify you as the law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep request and inquiry records for as long as needed to respond and to follow up. We keep job files, including permits, inspection records and photographs, for as long as New York licensing rules, tax law, our insurance carriers and warranty periods require, and as long as needed to defend or bring a claim. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask for a copy, or object to a particular use, by emailing info@AbsoluteAdvanced.com. We will confirm your identity before acting and respond within thirty days. Some laws give residents of certain states specific rights; we honor reasonable requests from everyone, not only where a law requires it, and we will not treat you differently for making one. We may keep information the law requires us to keep or that we need to complete work you asked for.

Children

This site is for adults acting for themselves or for a business. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when our practices change. The date below shows the last change. Continued use of the site after a change means the updated policy applies.
